Seal 2
I've always felt that it is the responsibility of any citizen within this country to vote. The system has failed if people don't vote and if I were in charge I would make it cumpuslory. I've always felt this.

Arbitrarily.

But now that has changed with thought and guidence. I went to a lecture tonight by Gideon Yago (you remember, from MTV news; brilliant guy). He spoke of this. We, thoes of us born in the 80's, are 1/3 of the voting populace. We are the largest demographic in the nation, and a very ignorant mass of us beleive our voice is without consequence; this is the single most demeaning element of us. Polititians don't take us seriously for we have the greatest interests (statistically speaking) in 1. cars 2. sex and relationships 3. getting a job after college. We have our heads metaphorically burried in the sand.

Our nation is degrading at amazing rates. One out of every three dollars of value in this world is american debt. Unemployment is on the rise and has been for the past five years; at this rate we will be at great depression levels by 2012. If we do not incite change, we will only have ourselves to blame for all of what goes wrong. Not our polititians, not our parents, not our teachers: only ourselves.

I hope everyone that reads this is registered to vote and does so in all elections (especially thoes of you with oregonian citizenship who really have no excuse not to; to ballot comes to you!). You are a failure of a ciizen if you don't.

So, I was reading through willamette week online today and found this little article: http://www.wweek.com/wwire/?p=9379 . I was horified. As the article says, the defigning feature of our great Pacific NW food is that is uses our local ingrediants to makes somthing truely unique and expressive. That some cahin restraunteur would not only steal that, but also transplanty it to a local that has very little of the local NW flavor to it (namely New York City) is like a punch in the kidney. To quote the quote of Corey Schreiber, "If someone had asked me to run that restaurant... I think I would have felt false. I'd be faking it."

I did appreciate what the article said about our food though: "That's what's so funny about this whole Pacific Northwest thing: it's actually very simple... If you live there. And sort of elusive if you don't."

Hopefully the resturant in NY will fail.

We are Real entities. By this I mean that we as thinking things, who know of our existance through our thought (and accordingly our knowlege of our own substance), are the only Real entities. We have perception of all other Real entities that we come in to some sort of senced contact, but we also create in our minds entities that are the constructs of our minds (artificial entities). Real have the capacity of thought, and artificial are reflections of the thoughts of the Real. Real entities have the ability to affect the state, ability, qualitys, movement and anything else in an artificial's body (its physical construct). In order to do this, a Real must acknolege that the aretificial is not Real. but it is the natural tendancy of the mind to assume that all it percieves is Real; therefore, this control seldom happens.

How does one know a real entity from an artificial one? That's what I am figureing. Comments would be much appreciated, hopefully full of criticism.
